We support three primary schools of about 400 children each in needy areas.
Rock of Joy Masaka was our first school that we supported and is now fully brick built and has a 50 acre farm. 60% of the school running costs are now raised in country. This is the area where HIV first started and there are many orphans.
Lady Grace School is 5 miles away and is in the early stages of development. This was started as children as young as 6 were walking to Masaka daily.
Rock of Joy Lugala is in the deprived part of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. The living conditions and employment opportunities are poor. We have recently acquired a large plot to provide much needed education and care for the community
We are a group who live on the Wirral in Northwest England. We have a lively youth group which went to Uganda in 2007 and then decided to set up a charity to help those in desparate need that we had met.
A youth group of about 30 teenagers aged 16 - 18 go out every two years and adult trips go on alternate years.
We raise funds for projects with the aim of providing self sustaining schools who care for their communities and share God's love with them.
We work with people in real need.
We have honest and trustworthy leaders in Uganda who were committed to their communities before we arrived and have a genuine love and concern for their students.
All administration costs are given freely by people in the UK so all money donated goes straight to the projects in Uganda.
